Missy is a sweet 8 pound little Yorkie girl. She is only 4.5 years old. Missy is being fostered in Ocala, FL. She and her brother Oscar are very bonded and must be adopted together. Their adoption fee is $625.
UPDATED BIO 11/08/2017: Missy and her brother Oscar are back with their foster mom. It seems Missy's surgical repair of her ACL and luxating patella swelled up and the adopter was concerned they wouldn't be able to take appropriate care of her, so they surrendered Missy and her brother Oscar back to United Yorkie Rescue. That's okay because in about a week or two Missy's vet said the swelling would go down and she would be just fine. Perhaps she jumped off the sofa or bed in her adopter's home before the repair was fully healed. Missy goes back to the vet in a week for a recheck.
Missy is a great little dog. She loves everyone and is very devoted to her people. She loves to ride in the car and take walks. Missy is not totally house-trained, buts she is smart and she will learn; in fact, she is already learning and her foster mom will continue to work with her.
Missy and her brother Oscar are great dogs. Once Missy's ACL repair is healed, they will be ready for their forever family. Missy and Oscar would do best in a home with grown-ups only and no children. Please consider adopting these two sweet, adorable pups. They would be a wonderful addition to anyone wanting double the cuddles, double the kisses and even better, double the love.
INITIAL BIO 09/23/2017: Missy and her brother Oscar recently arrived at their foster home. They are a delightful pair and must be adopted together. They have already bonded with their foster mom and fur- brothers. They love to follow foster mom wherever she goes. Missy and Oscar have experienced their first golf cart ride to the dog park and enjoyed both the ride and the dog park. This dynamic duo loves to sleep in bed with their foster mom and fur- brothers. Missy and Oscar are learning to do their business outside – they are young and smart and are quick to learn.
Sadly, when Missy arrived in her foster home, foster mom realized Missy was favoring her left hind leg. Foster mom immediately took Missy to the dogtor and was told that Missy needed bilateral luxating patella surgery, as well as teeth cleaning. This surgery is quite costly, however, United Yorkie Rescue does not want Missy to continue to be in pain so United Yorkie Rescue agreed to pay for this surgery so Missy will be pain-free. This bonded pair would make a wonderful addition to a loving family with at least one stay-at-home parent.
