Here's what the humans have to say about me:
CLARENCE is a five year, six-month-old long-haired male orange cat. Clarence was found in a high turnover rental area, and he gravitated to a backyard where the kindly resident would put out food for stray cats. Clarence was the worse for wear; he was being attacked consistently by other cats. Clarence was very thin, uncertain, and his eyes were running perpetually when he first came to us. This poor boy was so exhausted he slept for days after arriving. Now that he is safe, with medical care and ample, nutritious food, Clarence’s gentle personality shines. He’s very affectionate, though you can still see his uncertainty over his new circumstances, and if he will stay safe and fed. We assure him his old life exists no more, only safety and a full tummy in his future! Clarence is very sweet, and his social skills improve daily. Clarence dislikes other cats and we can understand why, he was certainly beat up enough in his former life by fellow felines. If you’re looking for a quiet and sweet companion, come meet Clarence!
At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and a fecal test.
