Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jerry is currently being fostered in Lisle, Chicago.
Jerry is 4 years and weight about 17 lbs.
It has been two months since Jerry arrived in Chicago, and he is now used to daily routines. He gets excited for meal time and walks, and loves being pampered with attention. Foster mom says that Jerry is good with other dogs, but loves being with people even more - foster mom always feels bad that she isn't able to give Jerry all the attention he wants, since there are so many other dogs in her house. Jerry does get along with other dogs but can be a little testy if they are pushy with him. He would thrive as an only-dog.
He gets along great with people of all ages and will do best in a home with a loving family that can give him lots of love and affection!
Jerry is housetrained, UTD on his shots and neutered. His #adoption fee is $350.
*Jerry is currently in Lisle, Chicago. Meet & greet may be possible if you are near Lisle. If you would like to #adopt him, please email donghaepaws@gmail.com with a bit of information about yourself (e.g. your experience as a dog owner, your family and/or other pets, etc.) and your phone number. A HDP volunteer will promptly respond to your email. Thank you!
*** We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old. A home check is mandatory before adoption.
Prior to rescue, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization and it takes time for them to learn about life as a family pet. Common skills such as house training and leash walking may often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
*** About us ***
Hope For Donghae Paws(HDP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to bringing rescue dogs from Korea to the US and finding permanent homes for them. It is true there are many animal lovers in Korea, but still many dogs suffer and are killed for food.
Our mission is to find US homes for mixed-breed dogs whose chances of being adopted in their native Korea are very low.
