My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Molly is a 7 year old 20 pound female cairn terrier and schnauzer mix. Having an old soul, Molly dislikes chaos. She prefers a quiet, sedate life with her people and kitties with maybe a calm respectful canine pal. Little children with their loud voices and unpredictable bursts of activity overwhelm Molly.

Molly loves to be near her foster mom. Laying happily by her side on the sofa to watch a good movie each night. She also enjoys romps in her fenced yard, car rides, short walks on her leash, alerting the house when visitors arrive, and greeting new people.

Molly does not require a fenced yard as she can take care of her needs during her walks. Molly's best match is a home without small children, puppies or nervous dogs, which is very consistent and a calm loving environment.

Molly is a bit aloof upon first meeting but warms up quickly to her people.

This dog is currently located in East Tennessee. Our adoption process requires completion of an adoption application (found here: http://sodoa.weebly.com/apply.html), a phone interview, and then transport of the dog to a pick up location near you. The adoption fee is $350 plus transport costs (up to $150). Each dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested microchipped, and given heartworm and flea preventative.
