Zoey is a 2 year old chocolate Beagle mix. She was rescued from the shelter with her mom, Chloe. She loves to snuggle in the weirdest of positions, none of which look comfortable! :) She sleeps through the night on the bed and is mostly housetrained. She is deaf and knows sign language for sit, lie down, come here, and good girl. We are working on NO! :) Zoey is full of energy! Some of it is normal puppy, some is nervous energy. When she gets nervous, she tends to make circles around items in the room or in the yard – always counterclockwise! She will thrive with a patient family willing to take time to let her adjust and feel comfortable. She does seem to rely on other dogs to “tell” her things, so we are looking for a home with at least one other canine companion for her. Deaf dogs are not much different than hearing dogs, so don't let that deter you if you've never had a deaf dog before! We are always happy to arrange a trial visit for any of our adoptables to stay with a potential adopter to make sure they're a good fit for the household. :) If you're interested in meeting her, please apply at www.dfwbeaglebuddies.org/adopt.
