My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jack was surrendered to us due to allergies, and as we soon found out, being bullied by another male guinea pig named Rocky. Their former guardian had 2 females as well, and although housed separately from the boys, the cages were so close to each other that the boys fought almost all the time, likely over the ladies themselves. Jack would always be the one at a loss, getting his fur pulled, being bitten, and losing out on all the attractive napping spots or even dinner.
Sadly, on top of so many wrongs here, the former guardian became pregnant, and decided to give them all away. The girls found a new home with a friend, Jack is now in an Empty Cages Collective foster home, and we are soon to take in Rocky as well.

After having some time to adjust to his new surroundings, out of cage play time, and lunch and dinner schedule, Jack is ready for a new home, and needs it to be forever this time around. He was already seen by our vet, and deemed to be in perfect health. He is trusting, loves being hand-fed, and if allowed to approach each new person at his own pace, he warms up in no time at all. He loves having a sleepy cuddle sack all to himself, and finds the kittens and bunny sharing his foster home simply fascinating. You can always see him running up to kittens Leo or Grizzy (still available for adoption!), or shamelessly staring at the bunny, Holly, trying to figure out why these piggies looks so weird. They all share their love for greens, so Jackie finally knows the joys of sharing a large salad with friends. He is vocal and loves chatting it up while bonding with his human foster parents.

If interested in meeting/adopting this social butterfly, please get in touch. Email adopt@emptycagescollective.org. Please note- we are ONLY looking to adopt to a home that already has one male guinea pig (or more then one!), or a spayed female(s).
