Hi, I‘m Charlie Chan! I was rescued from a shelter in Statesville, NC. I am a sweet, senior Shar-Pei mix boy with a lot of love left to give. All the rescue folks were really happy about me being heartworm negative...I'm not sure what that means, but it sure made them happy. I get around great and even have gotten a little frisky in the yard. I love to go for short walks and am content to just hang out and sleep. I am housebroken, great in a crate, and quiet! I did well on my dog test at the shelter and have done well with the other dogs that I have met so far. My foster family is working on introducing me to the rest of the pack here.

My vet check went well. I had ear infections which are being treated. My heart and lungs are good, and she didn't feel any thickness in my joints. My skin and coat are beautiful. I have almost no vision in one eye and the other is about 50% but that doesn't stop me from getting around.
