This pet is currently available for adoption at the Ellis County SPCA in Waxahachie, Texas located at 2570 FM 878, two miles east of US 287 on the right hand side. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Friday from 12pm to 4pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. Animals may only be placed on hold in person with a $50 non-refundable fee that holds the pet till the end of business the following day. This fee is applied to the adoption fee if adoption occurs. If a hold fee is not paid, our pets are first come, first serve. A pre adoption interview form must be filed and approved. If approved, an adoption contract must be signed. A spay/neuter contract must also be signed stating that if the pet is not already altered, it will be done within 30 days of adoption or 6 months of age. At or before the time of alteration a microchip must also be implanted. We offer this service for $10 and free registration for any pet over 5 pounds. Any adopter that fails to fulfill their contract is subject to a citation and fine up to $500. These requirements are for the safety and well being of the adopted pet. Our pets come with age appropriate vaccinations. Dogs are heartworm tested. Cats are FIV/Leukemia tested. Any further medical treatments are the responsibility of the adopter.
