My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louise is another throw-a-way dog. She was abandoned near the shelter with her pal Thelma. Check out the ears, whoever had her cut her ears so now she looks like she has a Minnie Mouse hat on when her ears perk up.
She is around 2.5 years to 3 years old. Louise may be mom to Thelma or a big sister. Whoever tossed these girls on the side of the road did not treat them very well. In addition to being really scared and not sure about men, Louise also has heartworm and a liver issue that prevented her from being treated for heartworm. Louise has been on meds for her liver for a month, now we are waiting to find out if she is well enough to treat the heartworm. The love and caring of from the volunteers they have both come a long way.
Louise, even with some health issues, is a loving girl who just needs love. Louise appears to be afraid of young kids, so an adult family or one with teenagers is requested. Thelma and Louise love playing together and we would love to see them re-homed together but will separate if it gets them into their fur ever homes sooner. The best Christmas present would be a roaring fire with someone to love. Please answer our prayers and give the girls a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, or a Happy New Year.
