Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Handsome Harley D
PLEASE READ FULL PROFILE BEFORE ASKING ABOUT ADOPTION
Meet Harley D. A pup with a sweet personality looking for his forever family. Harley is social little guy and loves meeting new friends, going on walks and trips about town. He’s an active boy who is willing to keep his person(s) company whatever they are doing. Harley is curious and likes investigate everything that is going on. He loves to be petted and will join you on the couch for a belly rub until something else needs his attention. Just look at that face, talk about a cutie!!! This fella is ready to win you over and can’t wait to be your new best friend.
Harley is a pure bread Shih Tzu. He is 2 and 1/2 years old and weighs 16 pounds. He is crate trained and gets along well with other dogs. He is friendly with gentle children and loves to go for car rides. He is well behaved and eager to please. Harley was not housetrained when surrendered but he is now doing very well with this lesson. His new family must be willing to continue helping him with the training.
To get ready for his new home Harley has been fixed. He is up to date on all his vaccinations. Harley has been microchipped and is in excellent health. He is negative for heart worms and is on flea and heart worm prevention. His adoption fee is $350.00
We do our best to place our fosters in the best place to suite their individual needs. With this goal in mind, we will not place Harley in a home with children under age 6 or in a home with dogs over 30 pounds. He is not suited to apartment life or extended periods alone. His new home must have a fenced yard. Homes with at least one small, friendly dog already present are preferred. Harley’s breed requires regular grooming, adopters must be able to commitment to his upkeep. Breed experience is a plus. Harley’s new family will need to be able to commit to continuing his house training and regular exercise by daily walks. Harley is a young, active little guy and would do best with an active family to match his personality.
FCDF performs a home visit and inspection with the potential animal. NO OUT OF STATE OR AREA ADOPTIONS ARE POSSIBLE. WE REQUIRE A VET REFERENCE. FCDF will not adopt into a home with unfixed dog or cat is present.
