Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you are looking for a furry friend to keep you company at home, CODY would be the dog for you. He is a Boxer/Boston terrier mix, neutered male, approx 5 yrs young, current on vaccines, about 50lbs, hw negative, flea free and micro-chipped. Cody is crate trained, house trained, knows SIT, SHAKE, BEG, DOWN, OFF, STAY, LEAVE it, and can walk well on leash without pulling - after he's had some time in the yard to scent hunt or play with his favorite toy ;-). Cody will do lots of talking in his excitement to meet your friends when they come to your home. CODY's FAVORITE toys: Squeaky football, Chuck-it ball, and a rope toy; he's happy to SHOW you his toys when he is ready to play, or he will play on his own. He is very smart (loves training and quick learner) - treat motivated ! Consistent rules and routine are KEY with this boy's success, loyalty and commitment to you. CODY enjoys car rides but moving windshield wipers get him overly excited so he should always be leashed in the back seat of the car - a safety precaution we recommend with every dog. CODY's foster family has other dogs, he shows a preference for females (similar to his size). He doesn't play with other dogs, just likes to meander in their company. He is confident and OFTEN affectionate with kisses !. He LOVES being with his human companions; sitting next to them on the couch or hanging w/them in an easy chair on the deck/patio. He doesn't cuddle but loves being with you when you are home. CODY had a medical emergency which required the removal of his right eye in 2018; he has adjusted very well . A fenced yard is required, and we recommend children over 16 yrs of age. Got questions ?
