My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

India came into foster care as a 6 week old kitten. Her mother had been hit by a car and the owner worked 12 hour shifts. This added up to huge time spans India and her litter mates went without food. These nutritional lapses caused neurological disorders with the kittens called cerebellum hypoplasia.
The weaker kittens sadly passed and with round the clock bottle feeding and a very slow transition from bottle to gruel to wet food to kibble India has grown up to be a healthy cat with minimal special needs.
India marches along with a wobbly gait. She requires a carpeted home or area of the home to help with traction as she slips and falls on tile flooring.
India can not safely climb up and down stairs. One level living is a must for her safety.
India also can not escape from other pets who will chase or attack her.
Indoor only homes need only apply.
India is the rare kitty who can not jump on your countertops, climb up on your table. A hop up and down from a sofa can challenge her and she may never try.
India bonds hard with her caretaker and also with her kitty foster sister. Rushes to greet, purrs, bumps at ankles. Gets so excited at meal time she can tip her kibble over in her rush. She pecks at her food like a chicken to eat. Takes a while to finish a meal but can easily eat a dry kibble diet.
She also uses her oversized low litter box faithfully.
India has had a hard start and a very long road to wellness taking a year to mature, be well and able to find her forever home.
