Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pacer is a 6-year-old neutered male black lab. Pacer weighs 50 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
Pacer is an easy going good ole boy from North Carolina. He is full of personality, laid back and enjoys being with you rather that out running around the yard. Hasn't retrieved yet but likes to play with a Kong. Pacer needs an owner who will give the attention, love and exercise he needs.
Good with other dogs has been out with other LR pups at the kennel with no problems. No cat history. Knows sit, come & down. Pulls on lead a little when walking better with an Easy Walk Harness. Crate trained, may be house trained as he is keeping his room clean at the kennel. He could probably stand to gain a few pounds.
Pacer is a beautiful tall sleek fellow, he will make a great house companion.
UPDATE: Pacer does very well in the crate. Most of the time he will let you know when he needs to go outside . Pacer was left out of the crate yesterday while gone for 2.5 hours and came home to no disturbances or accidents. Pacer meets other dogs out walking very politely. Yesterday he went to the dog park for the first time and enjoyed meeting the other dogs and running around with them. Not sure he has been around cats much; sometimes he just stares at them and other times jumps and barks at them.
Pacer is learning how to play with toys and has just recently learned that it is fun to retrieve stuffed toys that are thrown. For the most part he just wants to be with someone as much as possible but shows no signs of separation anxiety.
Pacer is doing great in the first floor condo at his foster home, so he is now approved for townhome and condo life. No high rise apartments, please.
