Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Slate is a 1-1/2 year-old male silver Labrador Retriever weighing about 65 pounds. He came to us from a local shelter where he was found stray with a broken lower rear leg; after treatment, he has full use of his leg! One would not guess his leg was ever broken! Slate’s energy level is normal for a young Lab; he loves to engage other dogs, too! He knows come, sit, kennel, and is very friendly with dogs and people. Slate will need a secure fenced yard for exercise and would do best with another dog as a companion. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Small children are usually not a good match for a dog this size. Is your family the right match for this sweet hunk of a dog?
***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ- Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference and trial adoption will be done before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.
