Meet Gerri, one of the oddest and cutest looking dogs you will ever see! If we had a "guess the breed contest" we don't think anybody would win, because her heritage is truly a mystery.
Gerri was found as a stray and dropped off at the shelter, where she was spotted by our volunteer. Gerri was sticking her paws through the cage doors, in a desperate attempt for attention, and our volunteer couldn't stop smiling at her unusual face and her chubby, long body.
Gerri is very friendly with everyone she meets, and is a social and happy girl. She currently weighs about 56 pounds, but she more "sturdy" than chubby. She absolutely loves going for walks and is great off leash. She is fine with the other dogs in her foster home, but is happiest with human attention. Gerri can be a bit stubborn and she would do best in home where she is not allowed to be the boss. Her wiry hair doesn't seem to shed, and although she is crate trained she is perfectly behaved when left alone free in the house. Gerri is housetrained, up to date on all her shots, microchipped, and has tested negative for heartworm. She has a wonderful personality and is an all around great dog.
