My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boxer Shepherd baby with a rough beginning

We named her Xena because she is going to need to be a warrior princess to survive the damage done to her legs and left untreated for too long!  She is a very sweet, timid little girl in need of big love and patience! She is 5-6 months old and currently weighs 29 lbs (with splints). Xena has her splints off and she is sooo happy about it! The vets want her on crate rest with PT on a regular basis to rebuild her to normal. In the mean time, Xena is so grateful for everyone's help, concern, and prayers for her to get healthy! So glad she can be in the center of the pack even if it means she is in her crate! She hated being an outsider. She wants so much to please her humans, she will do anything. She is very treat motivated and will go into her dreaded crate for a treat. Maybe it isn't too dreaded since it puts her in pack central which makes her happy. Being a puppy, she still has her get out of jail free card with adult dogs. She would easily accept correction to be with a cat and learn to not jump up on small children. We are working on her house training and leash training and she gets better each day! If you are looking for a baby with a rough beginning to be the hero, love and dote on her, take her to training and help her become the loving faithful companion she wants to so much to be, please put Xena on your application!
