Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello World, it’s me Chrissie Turner and I’m here to tell you about myself. I’m looking for a new family to call my own! Could you be my new forever family?
Here’s my stats:
Possible Breed: Lhasa Apso, you know the dogs that are revered in Tibet.
Gender: I’m a stunning female
Colors: I’m a beautiful white cream
Age: the vet says about 11 years young
Weight: A trim 13 pounds
Ideal Home: In my previous home I was an only dog but in my foster home, there are other pups…so I am versatile!
I was a loved companion but then the grandson developed allergies to me so I was taken in by Lone Star and I hope to find a new family that will keep me forever. I am a laid-back lady who likes to play and go on walks so I’m just perfect that way. I do really like to be close to you and hang out with you and be petted too! I don’t really like to be picked up or sit on you lap-I’m all Lhasa that way! As I mentioned above, I get along with boy and girl dogs just fine and my former family said I like the grandson too. I can’t really say about a cat.
Oh, did I mention that I LOVE any dog toy that squeaks? Fun, fun, fun! I ride well in the car and I’m okay with being in a crate. I’m not on any medications and I don’t have any known medical issues. Like my ancestors, I will bark at strangers and let you know they are around.
For more information, email my foster mom at doggiefoster1950@yahoo.com. Start the process of adopting me or one of the other pups by filling out the application found at www.shihtzu-rescue.com.
PS. I've had ALL my vetting, and oh boy, it was a lot. Here's what I had done:
Distemper/Parvo shots – TWICE. One shot doesn't cut it.
Bordetella shots - ALSO TWICE.
Spay/Neuter-of course.
A fecal exam so I don't have any bad worms. Treatment if I do.
A heartworm test. Treatment if I am positive for heart worms
BLOODWORK to make sure my liver and kidneys are working well, because you know, we doggies often have issues in the liver and kidneys.
A DENTAL exam AND cleaning if I needed it- yep, all my toofies are checked out.
See, that's a LOT. Ask your vet - that's a LOT.
