Here's what the humans have to say about me:
~adoption fee applies, email caarescue@gmail.com if serious about adoption~
My name is Gus and I am a two year old yorkie in Foster Care with CAA Rescue.
I am looking for a family who wants to love me and work with me to make me into the positive canine citizen I know I can be.
While I do make my #1 business outside… I am still doing #2 in the home when my foster mama is not watching me. This could still be me adjusting to all the changes in my life and maybe I will get over it but I need someone to work with me to show me all my business is down outside with positive reinforcement. Just yelling at me after finding poops will change nothing in my current behavior.
I am still learning how to walk nicely on the leash with my foster mom’s help.
I can be your typical vocal yorkie when I see other dogs in the distance so I am probably not best in an apartment or condo style home
I have currently been left alone for up to 5 hours uncrated in my foster home with no destruction or anxiety.
It does take me a little bit of time to warm up to people so you need to be patient with me
I currently live in foster car with another doggie and we get along fine but I have not been tested with cats or children. I think because I can get nervous when people I do not know approach me to quickly it would be best that I am not in a home with young children. I would hate for an accident to happen and then to find myself homeless again
I am a little nervous in the car, but I think the more I go out and do fun stuff the more I will realize a car is not a bad place
At this time I exhibit no food or toy possession or aggression in foster care.
True to the Yorkshire Terrier breed :
-I am two years old you can almost consider me as a puppy who needs house training, leash training, basic obedience training, daily walks and activities to stimulate me both mentally and physically.
-I am high activity dog.
-And just like the typical Yorkie I am sometimes suspicious of strangers, and will bark at strange sounds and intruders.
Here is what my foster mom has to say about me: So cuteeeee and cuddly. He's has a lot of energy, needs to walk and play
Before consider adopting me because I am cute please read up on the Yorkshire Terrier breed and see I my traits are a good match for your lifestyle
