My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This information is being posted for a private party. Do not contact San Diego Poodle Rescue about this dog. Contact classicliz@yahoo.com.

Yuki (pronounced you-key/means "snow" in Japanese) has been in our family seven years. He weighs 9 lbs. We acquired him at one year old from a family with nine children and nine cats. He was horribly unhappy and aggressive. In our household, Yuki lives with two other dogs (not toy poodles). He gets along well with both cats and dogs. We are moving to eastern Canada in the very near future and cannot bring him with us. We have to find homes for both our dogs. The other is a cocker spaniel.

Yuki enjoys walks and does not pull on the leash. He recognizes the following commands: sit, stay, wait, up, off, come, out, and heel. He eats Trader Joes dog food (kibble). He sleeps in the kitchen at night. He is very affectionate and loves to be petted.

We are looking for the owner that understands that toy poodles require monthly grooming (he does not shed), walks every day (otherwise he will become restless and nervous), and continued training because he is highly intelligent.

Yuki would do best in a household that understands that he is a dog not a person and human beings must always be pack leaders. We will not give him away to just anyone. He deserves a good home.

Yuki has no known health issues and is very playful. He loves toys, the dog park and running around like a rabbit. In all the years, we've had him, we've seen no signs of aging. He still plays like young dog.
