Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our entire Colony Room is going up for adoption! What the What!
We have some amazing cats who need homes.... follow along as we lay it out.
PLEASE READ the entire post. Our rescues are looking for FOREVER HOMES. If you would consider rehoming a pet due to moving, allergies or family conflict, they asks that you do not adopt them - they'd like their next home to be their last. Stable forever homes only need apply. WE HAVE A NO DECLAW POLICY. Thank you.
HERE'S THE SCOOP!
On July 26th, we pulled three toddler kittens from the city shelter. The shelter was filling up fast and this was the quickest way we could help - as they were mostly kittens available! It actually was a God Wink because Mouse was ready for friends and I knew that these young 'uns would heal quickly from their spay and acclimate faster than an adult would. Plus, Mouse was ready for some FUN and what could be more FUN than three little girls full of sugar and spice? The #Lovebugs, Honeybee, Firefly and Ladybug got all vetted up and rested for a few days before meeting their new pal Mouse.... it wasn't #LoveAtFirstSight, but within 48 hours, all were pals and having a blast. This cheeky trio was exactly the last step needed to help Mouse find his last bit of confidence and show us all that he wanted in a home. 3 weeks later and all four of these kids are ready to find their true forever and ever home.
FAMILY GOALS!
The "case" of the easy and the slightly complex. While the Lovebugs all have different personality's, they are all looking for a similar type home.
LOVEBUGS:
-They are active and will need an active home. They love to play and explore. Everything is new to them and they love to investigate, whether it be "What's in the Bag?" "What's that texture?" "Why is that moving?" or "What smells so different?" - they are sure to be a charming and goofy addition to the home. They will be fine with other cats and dogs, after a short adjustment period. They are litter trained and all full of love, affection and zest for life. Each one would do best in a home with another cat, as they love to play, and cats really do better in pairs. Pairs of cats will occupy each other when humans are away and provide a forever friendship and companion for each other through life.
*Honeybee is Tan. She is so brave. She knows no stranger, or danger. She loves to be involved in everything along with you. Curious, outgoing, spunky and busy! (Adoption pending)
*Firefly is a Torti Calico and is the most shy of the three. She watches as others investigate first, then she joins in. She is very calculated in her investigations. Once she knows you, she loves you and is very sweet, cuddly and goofy.
*Ladybug is a Dilute Calico and is the most affectionate and her personality is in between social Honeybee and slightly timid Firefly. She loves to play and is your typical vibrant kitten.
MOUSE:
-Mouse is a total sweetheart through and through. It will take him some time to adjust in a new home - perhaps months. While he has overcome his fears with us, those are likely to arise again when his safety net is no longer. BUT, Mouse is amazing. Once he knows you, he loves you. He is super affectionate and has the cutest "Mew!" when you come back from being away. He will no doubt be as faithful and loyal as a dog with a little time.
-Mouse loves to play. There is more joy in that cat when he is playing, than any other time. There isn't a toy he doesn't like! He loves other cats, and knows boundaries well. If a cat tells him to back up, he backs up. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, just once a broken soul trying to find his way in an overwhelming world. You can (and need to) read his story here: https://www.facebook.com/FurtheLoveofPAWSRescue/photos/a.125829310888840.20673.112485572223214/921181411353622/?type=3&theater
We would LOVE to find a home for Mouse WITH a Lovebug.
If you could open your heart and home to two, you WILL NOT regret it. When it comes to Mouse, he will thrive even more quickly in a home with one of his buddies with him. Please consider this option, I promise you - it will be one of the best things you will ever do. You will be getting a super social Lovebug and will be giving a home to a Mouse that will, in a little time - be your new best friend.
