Hi, I'm Roxy! I'm a 2 year old Boxer blend that loves to play! Running is my favorite and I am great at fetch. My favorite activities are everything with water. I love swimming at the lake and playing in my kiddy pool at home. I chase the water from the hose and get excited at bath time. I'll even let you brush my teeth nightly! I love my toothpaste so much that I try to eat the toothbrush and it makes my breath smell so nice. Did I mention how much I love car rides? Oh, please let me ride in your car! I love going places, sticking my head out the window, and letting my tongue flop in the wind!
I get along great with other dogs and love to play with them, but I love playing with people even more! I love giving kisses and being loved on. I have to say hello to everyone I meet. I'm not allowed to play with very little kids because I like to play a little too rough. I don't mean to cause any harm; I just get so excited! But, I do get to play with bigger kids (at least 6-8 years old) and it's so much fun!
I don't like to cuddle as much as I like to play, but at the end of the day I'll snuggle up next to you on the couch or bed while you watch T.V., if you'll let me. And when you get sick, I will bring you my favorite toy and love/cuddle you all day to make you feel better. You should know, I'm scared of thunder and fireworks. Don't worry, I don't bark too much, I just curl up into a little ball until it's over. Hopefully you'll be there to comfort me.
I'm very well behaved. I follow basic commands like sit, stay, and no. I'm crate-trained and stay quiet at night. I am respectful to cats. I might try to play with them, but if they tell me they're not interested I will leave them alone.
I'm looking for an active family who will take me for walks, play with me, and let me love them. I've been waiting for my furever home for a long time and I don't understand why. I promise to be sweet and love you if you'll just give me a chance.
