Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sylvie. She came into UYR from a hoarding situation. Sylvie is beautiful silver 6 year old Yorkie. She weighs 9 lbs. Her adoption fee is $295. She is being fostered in Orlando, FL.
UPDATED BIO 08/18/2017: Sylvie is a lovely yorkie girl who suffered a rough life before coming into UYR. She was 1 of 25 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation. Now that Sylvie is in her foster home, all memories of her previous life will soon fade away. She is looking forward to having a furever, loving home.
Sylvie gets along with other dogs. Foster Mom is not sure about cats or children yet, but when she sees the cat next door, she doesn't react. She's friendly toward strangers. She rides well in the car and walks well on a leash. She is not a picky eater. Amazingly, Sylvie is house-trained!
Currently, Sylvie is being treated by the vet for an ear infection, eye infection, hookworms and dermatitis, all of which is not uncommon for dogs that come from hoarding situations. She was heartworm negative and is now on Trifexis. The vet says she has a Grade I/VI heart murmur, which means it is barely audible. This is usually not a problem and likely will never cause any issues with her. In spite of these itty bitty mostly correctable health challenges, she is in relatively good health considering her previous environment and living situation.
Sylvie is so very deserving of a special, loving and furever home - will that be yours? If you are interested in Sylvie, put in an adoption application for her! She is patiently waiting……
INITIAL BIO 08/12/2017: Sylvie came into UYR today from an horrendous hoarding situation . Please watch our website for pictures and updates very soon.
PLEASE NOTE: UYR took in a total of 11 dogs today from this hoarding situation, including Sylvie. None of these dogs received any routine veterinarian care and all will need to receive vaccinations, worming, microchips, dentals, fecals, HW testing and will be altered. Please help us help Sylvie and the other precious yorkies taken in today by donating to their vetting expenses, which will be very high due to the number of dogs coming in today. No donation is too small. You can donate to any of these dogs by clicking on the Donation Button below. Thank you from Sylvie and the other dogs, and especially from the folks at United Yorkie Rescue who participated in their rescue/transport and to the foster moms and dads who so eagerly stepped forward to foster these very needy little dogs.
