ANGEL is not available for adoption at this time.
Angel is the sweetest poodle you could ever imagine! Her tail hardly never stops wagging. She loves everyone and just wants to be by your side. She was found in the Gaines Street shelter in San Diego, having been brought in as a stray. Unbelievable with her loving personality! She has developed cataracts in both eyes which has taken away the majority of her sight. She requires surgery to remove the cataracts which costs about $2000.00 from one of our local veterinary opthamologists. Poodle Rescue is trying to raise the funds to provide Angel with this surgery. Angel has already had surgery to correct a congenital heart defect, removal of a bladder stone due to a urinary tract infection and had her teeth cleaned. We feel she deserves to have improved sight since she has a long life ahead of her. She has also been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on her vaccinations. If you are able to be one of Angel's guardian angels and help with funds for her surgery, it would be so very much appreciated. Every little bit we collect will be put together for her surgery. Donations may be sent to our address. ANGEL CANNOT BE ADOPTED AT THIS TIME. Thank you!!!
ANGEL'S CATARACT SURGERY IS SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 9!!! ONLY ONE EYE IS OPERABLE, THE OTHER EYE IS A DETACHED RETINA WHICH CANNOT BE REPAIRED. PLEASE KEEP ANGEL IN YOUR THOUGHTS! SHE IS THE BEST LITTLE POODLE AND WE WISH HER ALL THE BEST FOR RENEWED SIGHT IN THE EYE.
ANGEL HAD HER CATARACT SURGERY ON AUGUST 9 -SHE CAME HOME THE SAME DAY. SHE HAS ON AN ELIZABETHAN COLLAR TO KEEP HER AWAY FROM HER EYE AND IS TAKING MULTIPLE EYE DROPS AND ORAL MEDICATIONS. HER CHECK-UPS SHOW EXCELLENT PROGRESS. WE THINK SHE ALREADY HAS IMPROVED EYESIGHT IN THE AFFECTED EYE! SHE IS HAPPY AND LOVING ALL THE EXTRA ATTENTION! A HUGE THANK YOU TO DR. BARBARA STEELE AND HER FABULOUS STAFF FOR TAKING SUCH WONDERFUL, LOVING CARE OF ANGEL.
