Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey there. It’s me, Verner. Are you looking for an easy-going guy? One that doesn’t need a ton of exercise to stay happy and chill… that still likes to learn new things for a treat or two… that likes to cuddle and just hang out…and go on a short daily walk or two? Look no further…you’ve found the perfect companion!
I’m a pretty smart guy. In no time at all, I’ve mastered a few tricks while in foster care. I know sit, down, shake hands and “dance” (circle to the left). I could learn lots more if you have the time, patience and treats. I LOVE to work for treats. I can get a bit excited and temporarily lose my manners when the treats first come out, so little fingers need to be watched, but I’m otherwise a really good, calm kind of guy. I have zero interest in toys, except I maybe did eat a stuffed beanie baby and (luckily) did regurgitate it, so maybe a home without little kids and their toys might be best for me, or at least a home with kids old enough to keep their toys picked up. Nobody’s perfect, right? Foster Mom says I’m pretty darn close, though.
I like other polite dogs and prefer my friends to be low-key like me. I like to do a zoomie or two, but I’m not really into crazy puppy hijinks. I’d rather sleep, eat and get attention than chase after toys or other dogs. Now, that’s not to say I’m old and lazy. I’d just rather conserve my energy for eating, smiling and figuring out how I can get that treat out of your hand and into my mouth.
I’m a happy boy, but I’d be so much happier if I had a real, honest-to-goodness loving home to spend the rest of my days in. This foster stuff is nice, but I’d really like a family to call my very own.
