Izzy is an outgoing, friendly 9 month old puppy. She and her brother were abandoned in the overnight box at an area shelter so no prior information about her is available.
In her foster home, Izzy has blossomed into a social butterfly. Izzy is friendly with both cats and dogs. Greets all people from children to grandparents as if long lost friends. She enjoys snuggling up against her foster mom on the sofa, chewing nylabones, shredding squeaker toys, and racing up and down the hallway after a tennis ball.
Izzy is crate trained, working on housebreaking and will race to the door to be let outside into the fenced yard.
Izzy is very watchful and will alert her foster home to any visitors, who she greets with her whole body wagging in glee. She is working on quiet when her greeting is overzealous and responds very well to a happy recall and cookie waiting.
Currently Izzy enjoys her leash walks as a means to explore and is in no hurry to finish up potty business while enjoying her walks.
She rides well in a crate in the car. And races to her crate when her food dish or nylabone appears.
Izzy's perfect match is any family age group so long as the children are respectful of Izzy's small stature and polite mouth licking and walking away when she needs personal space. The best match will patiently continue with Izzy's housebreaking and basic manners training realizing that Izzy's background is unknown and Izzy responds best to positive reinforcement training methods.
Izzy does chase cats and respectfully will walk away when the cat displays annoyance.
At just 10 pounds this lively puppy is waiting for a lap of her very own.

We are experienced rescuers and try our best to make the best matches possible. We have a 14 day, no questions asked, money back guarantee and the pet can be returned to us if things don't work out. Should you choose to adopt, the pet can be transported to a pick up location near you. Our adoption process includes the completion of an application, phone interview, veterinary reference, adoption fee and contract. The standard adoption fee is $500 and includes your pet’s transport as well as his vetting.
All pets will arrive with their complete medical records. Prior to adoption each pet had been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested if over 6 months old, and on heartworm and flea preventative.
