If you are interested in SPRUCE or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application

Please email the completed application to pat.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached.
SPRUCE and her sisters were born 6/12/17. Along with their mom, they joined Woof River at just 3 days old! They haven't looked back since! The whole family immediately went to an awesome foster home where they spent tons of time being doted on by children and visitors. As soon as these little ones could waddle, they were exploring the big beautiful world (otherwise known as their foster mom's yard). They met all sorts of mythical creatures (cats, dogs, and horses). Every moment of their short lives has been a joy.
At 7 weeks old, these little darlings left their mommy and went to their own foster homes for even more individualized attention. They all live with adult doggies who show them the ropes daily. Today they split their time between napping, playing, cuddling, and of course eating. All three girls are social, curious, and well adjusted little loves. They are already doing great on house and crate training. They are going to fill their forever homes with a lifetime of happy memories!
SPRUCE will be microchipped and vaccinated as many times as age allows when she arrives to her forever family.
Her $450 adoption fee includes her cost of transport to New England after she is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
