Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tallulah is a 6+ pound Champagne D'Argent mix bunny that was part of a hoarding rescue from NJ last year that came to us with respiratory infections. She's about two years old now and has recovered from her URI, but still has issues with bad teeth that make her a Special Needs bunny. But what a beauty!
Tallulah is a girl that tells you when she doesn't like something and loves to dig and rearrange her cage. She likes chewing up willow tents and grass toys. She does not like taking medicine but will take it in banana baby food. She had some issues with mild upper respiratory infections that have cleared, but she also has managed to 3 times fracture different molars and ended up with a few tooth root abscesses. She will need to have her teeth checked regularly and may need the molars filed every few months. Currently she has been refusing to eat most foods but a special pellet (can be ordered from Petco) and chopped carrots and fruits.
When her mouth is feeling better she will eat some regular pellets and chopped greens, but has not wanted to eat hay since February. She currently still has ongoing molar problems that are being addressed and she may be a special needs bunny her whole life.
If you're interested in adopting Tallulah, please fill out the application at http://www.friendsofrabbits.org/forms/form?verify=abc123&formid=3852 and email Friends of Rabbits at adoptions@friendsofrabbits.org and someone will call or email you to schedule a visit. Her adoption fee is $90, which reimburses our organization for some of her veterinary costs. Tallulah is fostered in Laurel, MD.
Indoor homes only.
