Meet Allie! Our vet estimates her to be 8yrs old and she has been spayed. Allie weighs about 50lbs. We wanted the vet to check her right eye since it presents somewhat smaller than the left eye. The vet agreed that it was most likely trauma from goodness knows how long ago. Upon testing, she does have limited sight in that eye but nothing that really effects her. She has gone through and recovered from much needed FHO surgery since she had some old trauma to her right rear leg as well as treatment for Lyme.
She absolutely adores attention from people so we think she didn't have much in her past :( She walks fine on a leash and is housetrained. Occasionally you'll see her with a toy but it's not a standard thing for her. The foster she is with is certain that right now, she is the most grateful dog in the house - her sighs of contentment while getting a belly rub for no reason says it all. While she currently lives with other dogs in fostercare, it took us months for her to accept and trust them. But with slow & steady crate rotations, introductions & limited interactions, she has become part of the pack. She should not be in a home with cats though is our gut feeling. Check out our site for an application to make Allie a part of your family and FaceBook for adoption event details. (www.endingthesadness.org)
Our adoption fee is $325 and all of our pets come with full vet records. All animals are up to date on vaccinations & dewormed. Please keep in mind we are a Rescue Group and most of our pups come to us with little or no background info regarding breed, eventual size, age or prior health issues. We rely on the expertise of our veterinarians and make estimates based on past experience. Also, when you're adopting from a Rescue, you should ask questions! You should always get shot/medication records and the rescue should have had the dog for a bit of time to check for disease. Take the time to educate yourself before adopting. A reputable rescue will have nothing to hide and will answer ALL your questions!!! Please visit our Web Site to see all of the pets we have for adoption. Our site contains information about our adoption process and fees, our application, and answers to frequently asked questions. Please read it carefully before contacting us. If you are interested in adopting THIS wonderful pet, we strongly encourage you to complete our adoption application now. Once we receive and approve your application, we will notify you of approval. The first application to be received and approved will get 1st choice - be sure that your references are available and willing to speak with us. Thank You Visit us at one of our next adoption days. Details are on our site under the How to Adopt tab. Hope to see you there!
