My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Libby is the older of two puppies we took in from an International rescue. They were breed and raised in an illegal dog meat farm. When she was found, she was weak, unable to walk and in a terrible condition. We believe she was the submissive one in the group and she didn't get a chance to eat or get food at all in that environment.

After months of caring and love in our foster's home, Libby now is fully healthy and happy. The transformation was incredible. Her past life was completely behind her and she is just a very happy-go-lucky dog. She is very cute, very sweet and loves everyone. She doesn't have any mean bone in her body and just super submissive.

Libby is currently about 19 lbs. we think she would be at around 35lbs when she is full grown. Libby has more of a straight up shepherd ears so we think she is a mix of Black Lab and a Shepherd Dog. Libby is potty-trained, leash trained, crate trained and know some basic commands. She is very smart, eager to please and a very quick learner.

Libby is spayed with all up-to-date shoots, blood tests and has passed quarantine.

thank you for opening up your heart and your home to a rescued dog.

A Ticket To Happiness adoption procedure:
We do require an application. Our process is that after you fill out the application questionnaire, we can schedule a day for you to come to our volunteer's home and meet with Libby. Please feel free to bring anyone with you. After the initial meeting, if you like Libby and if we think you could be a good fit for her. Then we can start a trial adoption. The trial adoption means that we can take Libby over to your home and leave her with you for a few days to two weeks (we prefer not to go beyond two weeks). During the trial adoption period, at anytime, you can return her to us (no question ask). Only when you know for sure that you'd like to adopt Libby officially, then you will then need to sign an adoption agreement and pay for the adoption fee of $150. So prior to the official adoption, you don't need to pay the adoption fee.

Disclaimer:
We thank you for your interest in potentially adoption/rescuing Libby. All of our rescued dogs are in foster familys' homes, we do not have a facility or kennels. We want to make sure our foster families and volunteers are safe (most likely you will be going to one of their homes to visit the dogs). That's why we asked for the application process. We can provide all of the documentations you need to also ensure you that we are a legit rescue. We want to take the best and the safest precaution for the potential adopters, our volunteers and our dogs. Please note that we do not ask for any money at all upfront.
