My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gemma was found on the street just after having pups. She was with another dog and looking for food. She was very malnourished and emaciated. She was very fearful of people and did not trust so made it difficult to get her off the street. She had to be trapped and then volunteers had to go back to search for her pups. She is now healthy and looking for a home.

Gemma is a super sweet girl but very shy and would need a family willing to give her the TLC and time to adjust. She is just a pup herself at a little over a year old and super tiny at only about 35 lbs. She is great with other dogs, and children. We have not had her around cats therefore we have no idea her reaction to cats. She loves to cuddle next to her human and is a true lap dog.

Gemma is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and fully vetted although she is heartworm positive and is currently under slow kill treatment. She is expected to be negative once she completes her treatment.
