My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Dixie is a nine year old border collie mix, who has the sweetest
temperament. She loves to be where the people are but generally is just
content to lay on the floor and sleep or be petted. She is fairly low key
and would make a great companion dog. She is house trained, crate trained
and knows several commands like "sit, shake" and is learning others. She is
clearly a smart dog and is eager to please, particularly if a treat or
cheese are involved. She enjoys going on walks and is learning to not pull
on her leash. She has encountered other dogs and geese on her walks and
enjoys watching them and is friendly to and wants to say "hi" but does not
bark or act aggressively. She has not had a chance to interact with cats or
children yet but would likely do well with them too. Dixie will need a home
that does not have electric fencing.

Dixie knows how to play fetch and will occasionally play but she gets bored
with it quickly and prefers to go back to having you pet her. She does love
her Kong though and will spend hours trying to get a treat or cheese out of
it. She is very quiet and I have only heard her bark once to announce that
someone was at our door. She does sometimes bark quietly when she is
sleeping and dreaming."
