Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me.
My name is Reggie, although, sometimes my Foster Mom likes to call me Mr. Pug-a-licious too! I don't mind though, it's kind of adorable I suppose. I am a 7 year old neutered male Pug who found myself in the awesome care of NBS Animal Rescue when I was found as a stray and ended up in a local shelter. My family never came for me and the kind shelter workers reached out to NBS Animal Rescue to help me find my fur-ever home.
I am a sweet, social, and playful fella who likes to go for walks, explore my foster homes fenced back yard, and get ear scratches and rump rubs. I like to meet new people (especially if they have tasty treats!) and I get along well with other friendly dogs. I've never met a kitty cat before so I'm not sure how I would like living with one. My foster parents think that I would be a good fit for children 8 years and older as I do tend to get a bit excited every now and then and jump up to say hello. I wouldn't want to accidentally knock over a small child. I would do well as an only pet to soak up all of your love or as a canine companion for another friendly dog too.
My Foster Dad says that my knees luxate (I think that means that my knees are a bit loose) and I'm going to have surgery August 7th to make them feel better. It's a common problem with small dogs like myself but not to worry! My Foster Dad says that after the surgery my knees won't luxate anymore and I'll be good as new! I'm looking for a fur-ever home who will love me and give me lots of care and attention.
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. Not all of my friends here at NBS Animal Rescue have the same requirements, so if I’m not be the perfect fit for your family- be sure to check out my other doggy friends too! For me?
These are the things I fur-sure need in my fur-ever home!
- Family who is gone no longer than 6 hour periods preferred. Will consider a family that has a plan in place listed on the application for him to be be let outside during the day if you work a full 8 hour day.
-Children must be 8yrs or older.
If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and are ready to apply, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family just yet. However, would you please help by sharing my picture on Facebook, twitter or by email? I'm a great pup and need a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
