Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hi to Koki! Koki is a stunning two-year-old full-blooded German shepherd that weighs in at about 80 lbs. This poor baby was purchased as a puppy by people that knew nothing about German shepherd puppies. When she became "out of control," they chained her in the back yard by herself until she was around eight months old when they decided to get rid of her. Koki was rescued by an elderly lady that taught her what life was supposed to be about. Unfortunately, her mom began to have medical issues & didn't feel she could properly care for Koki due to her age & issues. Koki is a fantastic dog & very calm for her age. Sadly, when she came to us she didn't know how to play as the only other dog she'd interacted with bullied her. It took about a week, but Koki finally learned what the other dogs wanted from her & now she loves to play with all of them! She loves treats & toys & is very gentle with children. Koki is affectionate but not overly so. She is also protective & will alert when she spots or hears someone outside. Koki does still lack confidence to some degree so her new family will have to be patient as she adjusts. She can be a bit of a velcro dog! Koki's elderly mom was able to do some task training with her so we will be evaluating her for service as well. Koki doesn't like being in a crate but she's good in one if forced to be crated. She was left loose in the house unattended by her elderly mom & has also been in her foster home. She is good on leash once she calms down. Another playful dog sibling & a fenced yard will be required. Koki is fully vetted including microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fee is $150. Vet reference, home check & adoption contract are required. Koki won't be looking for a home long so apply to make her part of your family today!
