Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Snowball is an 18-month old, male Akita that is looking for his new home.
He walks well on lead and will stay by your side after you’ve started your walk with him. He does get very excited at the beginning of walks and when it’s meal time, but eventually settles down after the initial excitement. He knows the commands, “sit”, “down”, “shake” and “high five” and is house and crate trained.
He loves to playing with balls and toys, car rides and getting lots of attention from you.
Snowball appears to have been severely under-socialized when he was younger, so he has been learning a lot about new things and people in his world and how he doesn’t need to be afraid of them.
Once he has had sufficient time to get acquainted with you, he will roll on his back to get tummy rubs or lean into you for butt rubs!
Snowball would be his best in an experienced Akita home as the only dog with a family that is able to slowly build their relationship with him and guide him through all the new things he is experiencing in his life.
He has played with and interacted with other Akitas his age, but it would be best for him to be the only pet in the household so that his family can focus just on him and his needs. He is interested in tiny dogs, cats and other small animals that move quickly, so he needs to be in a kitty-free home with no other dominant, male dogs.
If you are able to give Snowball a new home, please send a completed adoption application to: info@tikihutakitarecue.com. The adoption application and information about the adoption process can be found at: https://tikihutakitarescue.com/adopting
