Poppy is a sweet, smart, sometimes shy, girl that will wiggle her way into your heart. A calm voice, patient and gentle touch brings out her remarkable personality.
Poppy is great around cats and good with well balanced dogs of all sizes.
Very intelligent and loves her training! She loves long walks, car rides, trips to the park...and jogging on the treadmill!
Poppy came from an abusive past and can be fearful of unexpected movements and would do best in a home without children and with an abundance of patience. Training and learning to bond on a deeper level is the best way to help Poppy thrive. As her confidence grows, so does her affection.
Poppy likes to eat healthy too, and is always enthusiastic about helping out in the kitchen. Green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, jicama, apples, blueberries...this energetic girl jumps for joy when her favorite snacks appear! She's also an expert at catching snacks tossed her direction.
This sweet, beautiful gal is ready to continue her journey in the right, loving home.

If you're interested in adopting this pet please fill out our matchmaking questionnaire (www.rescuefromthehart.org). We are volunteer based and will do our best to get back to you within 72 hours. Please do not call as our phone is intended for emergencies only. If we feel that one of our dogs is a good match we will set up a private meet and greet We do not have a physical location where you can come and meet all the dogs at once, so meet and greets may take a little time to coordinate. Our requested adoption donation is $350 and all adopters are required to fill out an adoption agreement.
