Where to begin..Gemma is such a very special girl. Our founder rescued Gemma from a home only blocks from her own home. She had driven past Gemma's house on numerous occasions and had seen Gemma outside, standing in the road in front of her house. The first time, she called animal control to report neglect as Gemma was obviously emaciated, flea bitten and malnourished. The second time, she knocked on the door. What she found was Gemma and 10 of her puppies living outside in absolute putrid conditions in the pouring down rain. Gemma is such an amazing dog; a gentle soul with nothing but appreciation. She is housebroken, pays no mind to cats, likes kids and is fine with other dogs, although we'd love to see Gemma be the princess and spoiled rotten. She is actually frightened of smaller dogs. Gemma deserves a very special home; one who understands where she has been and wants to help her get to a place where she is confident and loved.
