My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name was Baker I am a male chihuahua/terrier/dachshund mix, who is approximately 2 years old, 13 pounds, neutered (as of 8/2) and housebroken. Since I left that scary place they called the shelter my foster parents call me Stanley-- Stan the Man and I think it suits me but i'll come to anything you call me as long as you have treats or toys! I love toys! My foster family has ALOT of toys but no one seems to use them except me! I love to run with them in my mouth all over the house and I nibble on them and make cute growly noises. I love to play chase and wrestle with my foster siblings-- I get along with all of them male and female and even the grumpy old dog. I have not met a cat so I am not sure how I would react-- I do love to chase and play so they might be frightened of me. I also have not met any kids but I'm sure I would be fine with older children who can understand my boundaries and needs. 

I walk well on a leash and ride in the car in a crate quietly. I sleep in my pen at night and would be fine in a crate or just in a fuzzy bed to call my own. I can be energetic but my favorite time of night is when I snuggle on the couch with my foster dad. I love to jump up and give him puppy kisses and then lay right next to his lap. 

I am sometimes shy around new people and will bark at them when they come in my house but I warm up quickly. I am looking for a family that will love me, keep me safe and allow me to feel comfortable and let me be me! I would love to have a puppy friend to keep me company while my new parents are at work.
