Zoey Paige is a 12-year-old, 2.5 pound Yorkie-Shihtzu mix and her BFF is Daisy Rayne an 8-year-old, 2.5 pound Maltese. This adorable pair of bonded pups are being fostered near Cookeville, TN and MUST be adopted together.
Pocket Puppy Alert! Meet Zoey Paige and Daisy Rayne, the tiniest, most adorable pair of bonded best friends EVER! These two were surrendered to a shelter when their owner was no longer able to care for them. UYR was contacted to help since a shelter is no place for two teenie-tiny pups to be. Zoey and Daisy are truly attached to each other as in PHYSICALLY ATTACHED. They love to lay on top of each other and right next to each other as if they were true “Velcro” doggies. They are potty-trained and this is their preferred method of doing “their business.” Very tiny dogs like this are often pad trained since they would be very susceptible to being killed or injured by even the smallest of outdoor predators. Their necks are very delicate and it is challenging to even find harnesses to fit pups this small so they are not used to leash walking and would be perfectly happy to live the rest of their lives indoors roaming from soft-bed to lap. There are such SUPER SWEET pups. They love to lay with each other or sit in their humans lap getting simultaneous belly rubs. Because of their extra-tiny size we must be SUPER PICKY about who is allowed to adopt them. The home that is chosen for these two tiny girls must have no young children. They must go to someone who is willing to put pet steps throughout the home so that there are no jumps or falls from furniture. Their adopter must be okay with them continuing to use potty-pads or has a fenced yard where they can be let outside (always with a human present AT ALL TIMES to protect against hawks and other predators). A retiree or an individual who works from home would be ideal for them. The Vet says they would be healthier if they gained some additional weight so we are working on that in their foster home. However, these pups are always going to be extremely tiny but 3 pounds would be a healthier weight for them. Please, no inquiries about adopting separately because these two are completely attached to each other. We are now accepting applications, please email any additional questions to foster mom at tnyorkierescue@gmail.com or complete an application to adopt them on our website.
