My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carmelita is a stunning black female with unusual blue merle markings. She is approximately 3 years old, and was surrendered to a shelter in Oklahoma along with Marion and her sister Florence when their owner was no longer able to take care of them. The shelter named her Carmelita after the track star Carmelita Jeter. Carmelita is being treated for Ehrlichia Canis. She is friendly with small dogs, but should not live with cats.

UPDATE 6/23/2017

Carmelita has completed her treatment for Ehrlichia Canis, has a negative PCR test (Polymerase Chain Reaction), and has finished all her medical procedures. This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home.
