DARWIN

Darwin is very much a love bug and a lap dog. He loves giving kisses and having his belly rubbed. Darwin will occasionally play with doggie toys and is a very good boy. He is completely housetrained and gets along with other dogs. He does enjoy taking walks, but since he was a one owner dog to and elderly woman his favorite thing to do is cuddle up next to you on the couch and love you.

We do require an adoption application because we fully vet our applicants prior to a meet and greet with each dog to ensure that each applicant is the best fit for each dog.

Darwin is a 5 yr old male Shih Tzu mix whose owner recently passed away. The deceased owner had no family members, so Darwin and his big brother Champ (a 50 lb. Lab mix) was confiscated by Pasco County Animal Services. Both dogs sat in the shelter, when Darwin was pulled first by our rescue Hope Helps All. Champ followed a week later to his foster home.

Due to breeding he does have some arthritis, which is currently handled by a monthly injection (It can also be managed by a daily oral pill.). Both options are minor cost concerns.

Darwin is healthy, neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccines including rabies, heartworm negative and free of internal parasites. He is current on heartworm and flea prevention and his adoption donation is $200.
