My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I am Dexter. Did you say that you want a young dog? That is me! I am going to tell you about my ideal home. It has a yard where I can play. I hope it has someone who can play with me, either a dog or a person. I really do not seem to prefer which one.

I am super smart but no one has taught me anything, I am a blank slate. The little dogs here boss me around. I submit to them since they are old and bossy. I do not want to be the boss of anything I want to play and run. One of the nice men that is a volunteer here says that I need a job. I think that sound right. I am too smart. If you do not give me something to do, I will make up my own game. I usually think my games are really fun but no one else is interested. I am half way to learning to sit on command and no one is really working with me on it. I love to do what you tell me.
That nice man also says that I need a family that has experience with young smart dogs. We take a lot of time because we have so much energy and are so inquisitive. If you want someone to sit around with you, we have a lot of those here. Do not ask them to play, they will tell you no! I will be honest, you need to teach me everything, including potty rules. I will learn. I am young and smart. Just be patient and consistent. I will learn so fast.
