Suki was surrendered to ARF on 5/6/17. Apparently, she had not worked out in her country home. The family had wanted an outside dog who would stay in the barn at night, but that didn't work for Suki. She didn't like being away from people and wanted to be with them. And the family soon learned that she didn't like cats and chased their barn cats! So their plan for her didn't work at all. Suki is about 7 years old and spayed. Suki had been adopted from a shelter in a neighboring county on March 30, 2017. She was adopted out as a spayed female, and she was given a bordatella shot and DAPPv at that time. She was also microchipped before she left the shelter. (Paperwork confirms) Suki was 69 pounds at that time but has since lost a few pounds. Her weight fluctuates between 56 and 60 pounds depending on her activity level. She likes people and interacting with them, but she also loves being outside. She'd think that a fenced yard and a doggie door was heaven itself! She just cannot be with kitties! Suki spent a few days with a couple of firemen who thought she was something special, but their 11 and 12-hour shifts made having a dog too difficult for both them and Suki. She did get to ride in the firetruck while she was with them! Suki walks well on a leash and likes kids. She wants to be someone's best friend and companion. Please consider her for your companion!
