Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Granny is a vert sweet Redtick Coonhound mix who loves people, dogs and ignores cats. She is about eight years old and weighs 55 pounds Here is what her foster had to say about this sweetie...
Loves her ears played with and petted. Haven’t seen any adverse reactions to touching at all!
Will sniff strangers, but has let everyone pet her.
She has been in Foster with my female plothound they have the run of my family room, they get along great, my plothound can get pretty aggressive playing and Grannie might defend but not aggressively! Did not see any issues with male dogs at the shelter.
She has not showed any food aggression with me or other dogs, but likes her food. Right now she is eating 1 Cup Wholesome No Grain, with ¼ can of pedigree twice a day!
She ignores my cats, she will sniff their beds, then walk away!
She pulls a little on leash, she constantly sniffing for critters typical hound!
She is very good in the house. Can be high energy outside especially if she is trailing something.
Grannie has a very high hunting drive, but probably would be afraid of noise, she is petrified of thunder storms. Gets very excited and hyper! We experimented with calming oils and shirts (not official thunders shirts) best thing we found to calm her was a “cave”, covered her crate with blankets. The only time I crated her was during storms! She did well !
She loves to be right by my side when I fix her food. She is eating 1 cup of Wholesome No Grain dry food with ¼ can of pedigree twice daily. Not a big treat hound, does love bacon strips. She does not play with toys.
She loves to ride in my SUV, has been well behaved riding. Granny is a true couch potato/lap lover.
If you think you have room in your heart and home for this sweet, sweet "baby" and have a nice lap for her to lay on give us a call at 484-800=2055 or email us at adogsplacerescue@gmail.com. Granny will be waiting to hear from you!
If you would like to see pictures of Frannie, send us an email and we will be more than happy to forward them to you!
