URGENT! FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED!

Jasmine lived the first 6 months of her life on the street, together with her sister Josie. She and her sister were rescued by a concerned neighbor. They were fully vetted and spayed, and we had hoped that they could be adopted into the same loving home. However tragedy struck a few months later. Jasmine suddenly became blind and unresponsive. She was taken to a veterinary hospital for extensive testing and treatment, and has been been boarded there while awaiting a foster or adopter who can provide for her special needs.

Jasmine's striking copper eyes held the clue to her condition. She suffers from multiple liver shunts which are malformed blood vessels that negatively impact the liver. It is not known whether she has any sight, and her vision is not likely to improve.

Though she can walk, she tends to crouch and is a bit shaky on her feet. She will have to be on a special diet for the rest of her life.
