Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The PERFECT DOG to complete your family... Meet Gulliver!
Gulliver was found wandering the streets of Houston, lonely, defeated and broken, on a cold day in January. He was hungry. He was thirsty. He was lost.
Our Street Team was out feeding that cold winter day and came upon Gulliver as they were finishing their route. They had already passed this location earlier in the day, but something made them drive back by. And that's when Gulliver was spotted. He was limping across a field, and as the team pulled to a stop Gulliver turned his head. Our team member rolled down her window, called toward him, and Gulliver, without hesitation, turned and started limping toward the car.
Gulliver was tired. He was ready to be saved.
You see, life is hard on the streets of Houston. Its a very non-forgiving place. So many hundreds of dogs roam neighborfoods and don't ever make it out alive. But Gully was one of the lucky ones.
Gulliver's foster mom has nothing but good things to say about him! She describes him as a low key pup, great with all dogs of various sizes and personalities, and he makes friends with others easily. He has excellent doggy manners, is not a barker, is house and dog door trained, walks perfectly on leash, and knows basic commands. Gully never needs to be crated, either! He's such a great dog!
Gulliver loves his people and wants to be near them. He doesn’t ask for much, and he is perfectly content to just lay by your feet or next to you on the sofa. Now that he is safe, he loves to go on daily walks through the neighborhood, weekend trips to the dog park to romp and play with friends, and he loves to end the day with face cuddles and back scratches.
Gully is a uniquely, handsome looking mix of Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound. He has stunning, golden colored eyes and a charming smile. He was born around 1/31/2015 and is now a little over 2 years old. He weighs around 80 pounds, and just to be clear, its 80 pounds of pure love and devotion! He has been very grateful ever since his rescue and just wants to please and love a family, and possibly a dog sibling, of his very own!
**Please note: When Gulliver was found on the streets he had a wound on his left rear leg which we believe resulted in an infection in the bone. He's had a long course of antibiotics and extensive medical testing (to rule out a fungal infection or cancer) and we believe his leg is now fine. Corridor Rescue will pay for Gulliver to have another x-ray on his leg in mid-September to be sure his leg has fully healed.
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75.
The adoption fee of $200 covers spay/neuter, vaccines and microchip.
We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.
Please apply to adopt Gulliver online at www.corridorrescue.org.

Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!
