Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Kobe! He is a 5 year old Mastiff/Staffordshire terrier mix. Kobe Is a stud and gets looks wherever he goes, whether it's quick trips to Home Depot or visiting the beach. He has a stocky build and a gorgeous face and weighs about 75 pounds full grown.. Kobe is originally from the South LA Shelter and has been at our kennel waiting for a forever home!
If you adopt Kobe, he comes with 6 months of weekly training sessions at our kennel plus two weeks of boarding. He walks well on leash and does not pull unless he sees a cat or small dog. He knows his basic commands, sit, down, stay and come and orients to his handler well. Kobe is very strong, but very gentle and sweet as well. Due to his size and strength we believe he would do well with an experienced dog owner either as an only dog and we prefer him to live in a house with a yard vs apartment.
Here is what his trainer recently said about him: I've been working with Kobe for a few months now, and he is always happy to see me and always ready for some fun together. We have been working on leash manners and he does very nicely (unless there is a stray cat lurking about and we have been working on leaving those alone too.) Kobe enjoys going to the park and watching all of the kids, bikes, dogs and horses that go by with ease. He knows all of his commands like; sit, down, stay, focus, and is working on rollover! He's easy to get in and out of the car and is an excellent passenger. I really can't say enough great things about this big hunk, he has the looks and the personality and would be a great dog to snuggle with on the couch. Yesterday Kobe worked on walking nicely by distractions, ie bikes, remote cars, drones, horses, goats, dogs, kids playing soccer etc. We worked on down, stay, and learned rollover (which is more rub my belly 🤣). He was great getting in and out of my car and sat nicely outside Starbucks and had a puppachino with a lot of stuff going on around him.
