My name is Betty Davis!

ATTENTION!!! We at NDF had the opportunity to have a conference with the one and only BETTY DAVIS 😍 we were just strolling the neighbourhood when we spotted her taking a pee break on a walk... she didn't have much time to spend as she had plans for breakfast and a mid morning nap that she said she could not miss 🤗but she allowed us to ask some questions and here's what she said 😇



(NDF) What are your best physical characteristics?

(Betty) I'm white and tan with bright blue eyes.

(NDF) Can you tell all your fans some interesting/goofy personality traits.

(Betty) Well I have this funny jumping thing I do when I get real excited, you can check out some of my pictures and videos at #nodogforsaken where you can see some of my traits and characteristics for yourself.

(NDF) Do you have an interesting back story/history?

(Betty) i was found as a stray, no one came looking for me, I was adopted once but it wasn't the right fit for me, so sadly I returned back to the shelter. Luckily I was given a great opportunity from the rescuers of No Dog Forsaken​, to live with a foster family. This is only temporary while I wait to be adopted to my final residence...my FOREVER HOME!!! If you think that's you please keep reading, and don't hesitate to share my story either.


(NDF) Are you potty trained?

(Betty) Yes, absolutely and I have no problem telling you when I need the bathroom 😝

(NDF) Are you kennel/crate trained?

(Betty) Yes, crate trained

(NDF) Where do you sleep at night?

(Betty) i sleep in my crate but wouldn't be opposed to sleeping beside you.

(NDF) What tricks/obedience are you currently working on?

(Betty) I am currently learning to stay focused... I just get really really excited when I see cats or kids. My foster parents use this thing called a clicker?!? All I know is I get treats whenever I hear it and show them my undivided attention.

(NDF) What tricks/obedience have you mastered?

(Betty) Well I would have to say I have mastered the basics, like sit, lay down, paw.

(NDF) Have you taken or are taking training courses?

(Betty) Not currently just with my awesome foster family

(NDF) Would you like to take any training or obedience courses?

(Betty) I think I would love to do some training classes. I am always eager to learn!!!

(NDF) What motivates you most to do tricks?

(Betty) Hmmm I would have to say TREATS!!!


(NDF) Have you met or lived with children? What ages? How do you act around them?

(Betty) Yes, I have met children and love to give them kisses but I always end up knocking them over because I don't really realize how big I am. In my new home I would prefer older kids who can understand I need some guidance...like maybe kids who have been around dogs before and can keep me focused.. that would actually be awesome.

(NDF) Have you met or lived with cats (or other small animals other than dogs)?

(Betty) I currently live with a cat named Leeroy in my foster home.

(NDF) How do you act around them?

(Betty) Well I am very curious about cats but they aren't too fond of my excitement to meet them. I have been scratched on my nose..and that didn't feel good. So I think I'd be much better suited in an environment where there isn't any for your sanity and for mine 😀

(NDF) Do you live with any other dogs? If yes, what are the general sizes, genders, breeds, etc. of the other dogs?

(Betty) So I have 3 foster siblings; there's​ Jack, he is a big black lab that loves to play fetch. There also Maggie, she's Jack's sister and she is just pretty chill, and then there is Emily, she is a Jack Russell. Shhhh she is my favorite. Although I can be around all of them, I sometimes find Jack to be a little bossy and a ball hog so we only go for walks together. Jack and I sometimes butt heads because he shows qualities of a leader but I know that that's what I was born to do too, that's why Emily and I get along the best...she doesn't care that I play with her toys 🤗

(NDF) Are you more submissive or dominant around other dogs/animals?

(Betty) I see myself as a leader to other dogs not a follower. I have very dominant tendencies.

(NDF) When/if you do play or interact with other dogs/animals, what are your favorite activities? (Ex. Walks, tug-o-war, cuddles)

(Betty) so I love to go for walks with my siblings, but we don't play well together yet. I think with some good training that I may be able to do so in the future. This home environment is kinda new for me

(NDF) Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?

(Betty) Well for starters, I can always put a smile on your face every day when you walk in the door. I'm great in cars so you can take me wherever you go. I Love Love Love the beach as most people do so I don't mind tagging along for that either. I'm just learning to swim but that doesn't stop me from jumping off docks 🤣 I love to play ball and tug-o-war so I can definitely keep you as active as me. And last but not least, they don't call me Betty Davis for no reason...I have the most beautiful blue eyes you’ll ever see. You can check out my photos at #nodogforsaken.

(NDF) Give me a description of your dream forever family.

(Betty) My dream forever family is one that understands my need for exercise, one that knows that I need to be a leader when I'm around other dogs and isn't worried about keeping me socialized. A home without small children because I am too hyper around them. Oh and I can't forget cats...I'd rather not be in a home with cats because I can't contain my excitement around them. Also if I can have a say in a sibling, I'm looking for a dog that doesn't care when I play with their toys..maybe a dog that is submissive and slightly smaller than me would be great!

(NDF) What general knowledge TV or movie character are you most like and why?

(Betty) Well I have been told I have similar traits and features like Chance from Homeward Bound.

(NDF) What are some of your favorite toys?

(Betty) Ball, and rope… can't be without them.

(NDF) Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?

(Betty) I like an even mix of both. Also I am a great listener I love hearing about your day.

(NDF) What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?

(Betty) When you get home even if it's only been 5 minutes. I love the feeling of someone coming home to me everyday, so much so I can't contain myself. It's the best part of every day for me.

(NDF) What would your dream day consist of?

(Betty) My dream day would consist of a long walk, (weather permitting because I don't like wet grass it grosses me out) or run, (if you like to jog) definitely need to slot in some play time, either with a ball or some​ tug-o-war. Some daily training together would be fabulous (clicker=treats). A big bowl of food. I love to also sit and watch TV and relax on the couch together and last but not least cuddles before bed either while I lay in my crate or like I said before.. it can be beside you in the bed.
