My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy folks. It’s me, Marshal Matt Dillon. My sisters and I had a bit of a rough
start to life, but we’re strong little kittens and fought right on through. When we were only 2 days old, our momma was killed by a dog. We were orphans in a big, scary world. Can you even imagine? Lucky for us, we only had to stay that cold cage at the pound for a few hours before a Henrico Humane Society volunteer came to pick us up. We met the lady we now call momma just a little while later. You might know her better as Miss Kitty. She had recently had some babies of her own, but they didn’t survive, so she stepped in to help us. Boy, were we lucky
kittens.

Our momma has been telling us stories of these exciting places called forever homes, and we just can’t wait to find one! I’m the big brother of the family. Part of my duties as big brother, and as Marshal of course, are keeping things in order and keeping everybody safe. I do all of the exploring first, to make sure there’s nothing dangerous out there, and keep a watchful eye over my sisters. If I know they’re not getting into too much trouble, I’ll settle down for a nap in my big cozy bed.

I’m what you’d call a people kitty. I love attention. If my foster parents aren’t paying enough attention to me, I let out a big meow to get their attention. I also love to play. I particularly like those balls with the bells instead. I could chasethem all day. When playtime is over, I have some favorite napping spots – on top of my foster dad or in a nice warm sun spot.

I’m a pretty easy goin’ guy, so I think I’d be happy in any kind of home. But I sure do love to play, so I hope to have a friend in my forever home. If you’re in
need of a little law in order (and snuggles) in your neck of the woods, look no further. Marshall Matt Dillon is at your service.
