Mickey is fostered in Shiloh IL through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org
Mickey is a very sweet 3 yr. old, 12 lb. neutered Yorkie-mix boy who came to United Yorkie in May 2017.
Mickey's had a rough start in life with his first owner and recent changes with his second owner led to his surrender to United Yorkie Rescue. He's extremely well behaved and loves to play with other dogs. Mickey is missing his left eye, but you would never know it, as he doesn't let it affect him at all. He runs, jumps, and plays as well as any other dog. He walks great on a leash, staying on the sidewalk and right by your side. He sleeps through the night, in bed without getting up. He gets along with docile cats and does not chase them, but an aggressive cat is the reason he is missing his left eye, so we will be leery adopting to anyone who has a rambunctious/aggressive cat who doesn't like dogs or tries to play with dogs. Mickey would love a fenced yard, and hopefully another dog his size to play with. Mickey is currently underweight at 11 pounds (he’s very tall!) and will need to gain some weight and see the vet before being adopted to his new home. However, because of his amazing, lovable, sweet and playful personality, the family that is chosen to adopt him will not regret waiting a short time for him gain some weight before coming to live with them!
