IF YOU AREN'T WILLING TO TAKE HIM WHEN AVAILABLE, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS UNTIL YOU RETURN FROM VACATION, OR ANY OTHER REASONS. THIS PREVENTS OUR FOSTERS FROM TAKING IN OTHER DOGS WHO NEED TO BE SAVED IF WE BABYSIT YOUR DOG. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
ADOPTION FEE: $350
RILEY is a 3 yr old male pure breed Mini Schnauzer. He's salt/pepper, cropped tail and natural ears. Up to date on all vaccines, micochipped, neutered, & heartworm negative, on monthly preventives. Riley rides well in the car, gets along with all dogs, although at times he wants to be a tad dominant. Just a little noise saying hey I'm here, I'm first. He loves to be loved and petted, will follow you around from room to room. He is totally house broken. He will bark if someone comes to the door or if you leave him in a kennel where he can't see you.
Please overlook the overgrown coat, he is going for grooming this week and will be ready for his new forever home on Thursday. He does have one thing to consider. He wants to go everywhere you go so if you open the door he will shoot out fast. We found out the hard way and he ran into the pond. So therefore I personally know he does great in the tub and with the blow dryer.
Riley is not scared or jumpy around any noises He even follows me with the vacuum cleaner. He walks okay on a leash, but was used to being in a fenced yard when he was out, so he does pull a little. We're working on that and he's doing great. He loves other dogs and kids, allows you in his face, scratch his belly, pick him up or anything as long as you're nearby.
RILEY is a perfect companion if you're looking for a dog under 20lbs. He is smart, listens well, loves people/dogs/kids and will give you many years of unconditional love.
